Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Bending Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC press brake (abkant) machines to bend, shape, and form sheet metal components according to technical specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC press brake (abkant) or similar bending machines to produce high-quality parts
- Set up, select, and modify CNC programs as required
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements
- Perform basic programming edits using CNC controls and related software
- Load and unload materials and finished parts safely and efficiently
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
- Maintain equipment and ensure machines and work areas are clean and in good working condition
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
Qualifications:
- College diploma or equivalent experience in CNC machining or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the sheet metal industry, specifically operating CNC press brakes or similar equipment
- Strong computer skills; familiarity with CNC software (knowledge of Microsoft Office is considered an asset)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of performing job duties, including standing for extended periods and handling materials
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
