Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and proficiency with various heavy equipment and warehouse management systems. This role is essential for ensuring efficient order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance. The Warehouse Manager will coordinate a team of warehouse staff and manage the operation of equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and order pickers to optimize productivity and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, order picking, packaging, and inventory management
- Operate and oversee heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other heavy machinery to load & unload materials safely
- Manage warehouse distribution processes ensuring timely order fulfillment and accurate stock levels using Warehouse Management System (WMS) software like AS400
- Coordinate with manufacturing and construction teams to support production schedules and project needs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols
- Lead a team of warehouse staff including training on equipment operation (e.g., order picker, crane) and best practices in heavy lifting, packaging, and shipping & receiving
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, shipments, and receipts
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and schedule maintenance as needed
- Optimize warehouse layout for efficient space utilization and workflow efficiency
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing a warehouse or distribution center with knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory control
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and order pickers
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), specifically AS400 or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of manufacturing or construction environments is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with heavy equipment operation including load & unload procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train staff on equipment use and safety protocols
- Knowledge of safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy machinery use
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and documentation

Pay: $41,563.76-$60,000.00 per year
