Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a range of vehicles, with a focus on Land Cruisers and similar models
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized schematics to troubleshoot mechanical issues accurately
- Conduct welding and assembly tasks as needed to restore vehicle integrity and safety
- Assist with heavy lifting and other physical tasks required during repairs and maintenance procedures
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols to ensure quality workmanship and safe work practices
- Maintain detailed service records, including repair logs and schematics interpretation
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process
Qualifications
- Dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment
- Strong understanding of automotive maintenance procedures and repair techniques
- Previous mechanic experience or apprenticeship in automotive repair is highly valued
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
