Position Overview:
Durham Harley-Davidson is looking for a dynamic, driven, and customer-focused Sales Manager to lead our Sales Department and help drive the dealership to the next level.
This role is much more than managing a sales floor. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about developing people, creating exceptional customer experiences, holding the team accountable, and delivering consistent results.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and coach the Sales Team to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Conduct daily sales meetings, one-on-ones, and performance reviews.
- Monitor sales performance, closing ratios, appointments, and follow-up activities.
- Foster a positive, high-performance culture built on accountability and teamwork.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop Sales Professionals.
Customer Experience
- Ensure every customer receives an exceptional buying experience from first contact through delivery.
- Monitor and coach the dealership’s Customer Path process.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure CRM follow-up standards are consistently met.
- Promote long-term customer relationships and loyalty.
Sales Operations
- Manage new and pre-owned motorcycle inventory alongside dealership leadership.
- Work closely with the General Manager on pricing strategies, inventory management, and reducing aged inventory.
- Monitor daily traffic, appointments, closing percentages, and sales pipeline.
- Ensure all deals are accurate, compliant, and ready for delivery.
- Maintain the dealership's online inventory to the highest standard, ensuring all units are accurately represented with professional photos, detailed descriptions, competitive pricing, and up-to-date information across the dealership website and online marketplaces.
- Regularly audit online listings to ensure inventory is merchandised professionally and reflects the quality of the Durham Harley-Davidson brand.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Finance, Parts, MotorClothes, Service, and Marketing teams to maximize every sales opportunity.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute sales campaigns, promotions, events, and digital marketing initiatives that drive showroom traffic, leads, and motorcycle sales.
- Promote Chrome Design, Parts & Accessories, F&I products, Rentals, and dealership events throughout the customer journey.
- Ensure smooth communication and accountability between all departments.
- Participate in dealership events, community rides, open houses, and promotional activities.
- Provide regular feedback to the Marketing team on market trends, inventory priorities, customer buying patterns, and opportunities to increase lead generation and sales conversion.
Reporting & Accountability
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
- Monitor key dealership KPIs.
- Present performance updates and action plans during management meetings.
- Drive continuous process improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of dealership sales management experience (automotive, powersports, RV, marine, or similar).
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s and Motorcycle Licence.
- OMVIC is a must.
- Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing sales teams.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service mindset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and dealership management software.
- Results-driven with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Professional appearance and attitude.

What We Offer
