About International Kids Runway
International Kids Runway, also known as IKR, is a leading children’s fashion and talent platform in North America.
We produce high-quality kids’ fashion runway events and work with families, young talents, designers, kidswear brands, photographers, dance schools, local businesses, and creative communities. Our goal is to give children more opportunities to build confidence, gain stage experience, and connect with creative opportunities through fashion, performance, and media exposure.
IKR is currently expanding to more cities across North America. We are looking for someone who can help us grow our local presence, build community connections, and support registration growth for our auditions and runway events.
This is not just an event assistant role. We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, promoting events, and helping a city market grow from the ground up.
About the Role
The Business Development & City Growth Coordinator will help IKR develop local family and community networks in a specific city.
You will be responsible for reaching out to potential families, community partners, local businesses, studios, schools, and influencers. You will also help follow up with interested families, support audition registration, track leads, and assist with local event preparation.
This role is a great fit for someone who is proactive, organized, outgoing, and interested in children’s events, fashion, family lifestyle, education, marketing, or community building.

- Help improve registration conversion through communication, reminders, community outreach, and social media promotion.
- Develop local partnerships with dance schools, art schools, photography studios, kidswear brands, family businesses, influencers, schools, and community organizations.
- Assist with local marketing campaigns to increase IKR’s visibility and trust in the city.
- Maintain simple CRM records, including leads, follow-up status, registration progress, partner contacts, and conversion results.
- Support preparation for local auditions and runway events, including family communication, partner coordination, and event support.
- Help identify local creative opportunities for IKR’s Dream Pool, including brand collaborations, photoshoots, designer partnerships, and family creator opportunities.
- Review local growth results and share suggestions on what channels, content, or partnerships are working best.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development, sales, marketing, community outreach, event promotion, brand partnerships, or customer communication is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude when speaking with parents, partners, brands, and team members.
- Comfortable reaching out to new people and building relationships.
- Familiar with social media, community groups, local partnerships, or offline promotion.
- Interested in children, families, fashion, education, performance, content creation, or lifestyle events.
- Organized and able to track leads, follow-ups, and registration progress.
- Able to manage multiple contacts, partners, and deadlines at the same time.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
Nice to Have
- Experience in children’s education, family events, fashion events, dance/art studios, kids’ activities, or local business development.
- Experience with community group promotion, influencer/KOL collaboration, livestream sales, or offline event promotion.
- Basic content creation skills, such as posters, short videos, social media captions, or event materials.
- Bilingual English and Chinese communication skills are a strong asset.
- Experience using spreadsheets, CRM tools, or project management tools.
