Job Description
Lead and supervise crew members in fire suppression and control activities.
Key Responsibilities
Work with BCWS (BC Wildfire Service) Incident Commanders to determine the best strategies and tactics to suppress wildfires.
Identify site hazards and formulate mitigation strategies.
Conduct daily safety meetings with the crew to ensure each crew member clearly understands operational plans, site hazards and emergency response plans.
Monitor crew members to ensure they are working safely and productively.
Ensure crew fire readiness is maintained through fireline equipment and truck maintenance, inventory, and crew training.
Complete administrative work promptly, such as timesheets, safety briefings, fire reports.

S-100/185 basic fire suppression and safety training
Relevant certifications and training related to wildland firefighting (ie S-211/212/213/230/235)
OFA first aid certificate
Willing to travel regularly, travel expenses paid by employer

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
