We are a licensed indoor cannabis cultivation and processing facility located in Calgary, Alberta, committed to producing high-quality cannabis in full compliance with Health Canada and GACP standards. We’re seeking a Production Technician to join our growing team. This position plays a key role across both cultivation and post-harvest operations.
Job Summary
As a Production Technician, you’ll be responsible for supporting the daily operations of cannabis production from clone to harvest, ensuring cleanliness and compliance at every step. This includes maintaining plant health, documenting production activities, following SOPs, and sanitation tasks (drying and flower room reset, facility cleanup etc.).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance of plants from propagation through harvest.
- Complete production batch records and logs to ensure Health Canada and GACP compliance.
- Adhere to all SOPs related to daily activities.
- Follow strict sanitation protocols to maintain sterile production environments.
- Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and production areas.
- Operate in warm/humid conditions as required in cultivation spaces.
- Support post-harvest tasks including drying, trimming, and packaging as needed.
- Document all tasks clearly and accurately as directed by the General Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1–3+ years of experience in the cannabis industry or a commercial cultivation environment a valuable asset.
- A strong passion for plant care with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/sit for extended periods.
- Comfortable working flexible hours including evenings and weekends as production needs arise.
- Strong ability to follow instructions and work in a compliance-focused setting.
- Experience with inventory and batch records an asset.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to change.
Additional Requirements
- This is a non-smoking facility – no tobacco use is permitted on-site.
- Employees must maintain excellent personal hygiene and avoid strong scents to prevent contamination of production areas.
- Must meet legal age requirements under local cannabis laws.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check in compliance with the Cannabis Act and Health Canada regulations.
