Nieltech Services Limited is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Flusher Operator to join our Team based out of Cambridge ON. The Flusher Operator is involved in all facets of the successful completion of construction projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs all required tasks and activities in accordance with established safe work practices and Health & Safety rules and regulations.
- Follow all policies and procedures as set out by Nieltech Services
- Perform debris removal, slot trenching, daylighting and digging
- Operate flusher trucks and equipment in a safe and professional manner
- Ensure all flusher truck equipment and components are in good working condition at all times
- Complete all required paperwork properly on a daily basis
- Ensure proper function by performing pre and post trip inspections and general housekeeping - report any inefficiencies to Supervisor
- Perform basic equipment maintenance such as cleaning, greasing, minor repairs, etc.
- Maintain and use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Troubleshooting and problem solving with respect to system/equipment issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager or crew leader
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 year experience operating a Flusher Truck/System
- Experience operating a manual and/or automated transmission
- Previous experience in Underground Infrastructure industry considered an asset.
- Certification in fall protection, first aid, confined spaces and transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) considered an asset.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, confined spaces, isolation
- Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere, must be able to lift and carry 50lbs+
- Self-disciplined, motivated, organized, and a team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Accountability for accuracy of work completed and daily production for work assigned
Additional Requirements
- Valid D class driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- Minimum 1 year experience Operating a Flusher System & Truck
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on emergency call outs as required
- Daily travel to and from Cambridge ON will be required

Pay: $37.00-$38.82 per hour
