Pay Scale: $30.00/Hr – $45.00/Hr
Work Hours: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, some overtime
We have an opening for a full-time Boiler Technician in Toronto that will be responsible for servicing, repairing, maintaining and replacing the residential boiler and hydronic systems. You will diagnose problems, explain these to customers in clear, non-technical terms, relay costs to customers and offer alternative solutions. You will order and collect parts once the customer gives approval, and communicate with the supervisor regarding challenges.
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing boiler and hydronic systems and performing warranty services.
- Troubleshooting defective boiler and hydronic systems.
- Performing preventative maintenance.
- Installation of boiler and hydronic systems.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain timely communications with customers, supervisors and management to keep them informed of job status.
- Keeping daily logs and records of maintenance functions.
- Maintaining service truck.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Health and Safety Act.
- Consistently using ServiceTitan for digital work orders and reporting requirements.
- Material ordering and inventory management.
- Use of power tools & hand tools.
- Gas fitter 1 or 2 licenses.
- ODP and 313A license an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience installing and repairing residential boilers and hydronic systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct infield diagnostics, provide comprehensive next steps and do in-field quotes/invoicing using ServiceTitan.
- Strong customer communication skills.
