Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic new restaurant and culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and extensive experience in restaurant management and food service. As a key member of our kitchen staff, the Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and maintaining a collaborative team environment. Duties
- Assist in supervising kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with attention to quality, presentation, and consistency
- Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimize waste
- Support the training and development of team members in food preparation techniques and service standards
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan menus, special events, and service schedules
- Serve as a leader during shifts, maintaining a positive work environment and motivating staff
- Ensure all kitchen operations meet health codes and safety regulations at all times
- Assist in resolving customer concerns related to food quality or service in a professional manner
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant operations within the food industry or hospitality sector
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, handling procedures, and sanitation practices
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Familiarity with restaurant management systems, inventory control, and serving protocols
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in restaurant management or as a sous chef is highly desirable

Pay: $42,040.90-$60,000.00 per year
