Do you want to work in an AWARD WINNING Calgary Stampede Booth? We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating product knowledge, and driving sales through effective communication and merchandising. Experience in retail sales are highly valued. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with customers, showcase products through demos, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. The Sales Associate will play a vital role in maintaining an organized sales floor and ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain merchandise displays, ensure proper signage, and organize the sales floor for optimal presentation
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on product specifications, technical features, and compatibility
- Handle customer inquiries in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and merchandising tasks
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business and positive customer relationships
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging customers and explaining product features
- Experience in retail sales, Beauty sales, or related fields preferred
- Proficiency in using POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for transactions
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and persuasively
- Excellent organizational skills to manage merchandise displays and stock levels
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Upselling skills to increase sales while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and problem-solving abilities
