We are currently seeking Brake Press Operator to start immediately. Our client is located at HWY/27 area.
Key Responsibilities
Brake Press Operation
- Set up and operate CNC press brakes (Amada or similar).
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and custom work orders.
- Select and install appropriate dies, punches, and tooling.
- Configure back gauges, bend sequences, and crowning adjustments.
- Adjust machines to accommodate material thickness and specifications.
Leadership & Team Support
- Provide guidance and support to junior operators and helpers.
- Assist in coordinating workflow to ensure efficient production runs.
- Promote best practices in machine setup, quality, and safety.
- Help train team members on proper brake press operation and procedures.
Quality Control
- Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ensure finished products meet engineering drawings and order specifications.
- Maintain high standards of precision and consistency.
Maintenance & Safety
- Perform routine machine inspections and basic maintenance.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Follow all workplace safety and laser safety protocols.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience operating and setting up press brakes.
- Experience with Amada or similar CNC press brake machines.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Proven leadership or mentoring experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality fabrication.
- Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and machine adjustments.
- Ability to handle materials and work on the shop floor for extended periods.
