Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
- Manage patient records accurately using Epic and Dentrix software systems
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
- Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to safety standards at all times
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed
- Assist with dental reception duties when necessary, including checking in patients and updating medical histories
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental assisting or related roles; familiarity with Epic, Dentrix, Orthodontics, Pediatrics, and CAD is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Strong understanding of dental procedures and clinical protocols
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient support
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
- Certification or training in dental assisting is highly desirable; additional skills in CAD or orthodontics are a plus
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$28.50 per hour
