Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, positive and enthusiastic coach to teach aerial silks to kids, teens and adults
For this job, you will need to:
- Love working with people all ages and all levels.
- Have good class management skills and understand how to re-engage children in a positive way.
- Be a great multi-tasker with experience coaching aerial or a similar activity
- Understand how to provide constant feedback, corrections and encouragement to your students to help them grow .
- Be able to adapt to our level system, follow lesson plans and have the ability to create lesson plans when required.
- Guide participants through the creation process to create routines and acts for parent shows.
- Take attendance & Skill track your students regularly with the Jackrabbit software
- Have full knowledge of our Level 1-5 Silks Curriculum (or be an experienced silks coach willing to learn)
- Commit to a regular shift time and book subs in advance for any shifts you cannot work.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience coaching silks
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (or proof of enrolment in a course. Ideally through Red Cross, Lifesaving Society or St John's Ambulance)
- NCCP Gymnastics Foundations (ideal candidate willing to obtain at our expense within 6 months)
- Vulnerable Sector Background Check (required at time of hiring)

You must have availability for the following shift:
Sundays 9:00am-12:45pm
Eligible for standard employee benefits including vacation pay and stat holiday pay and some open gym or free classes included.
