Job Posting: On-Call Educator & Summer Vacation Replacement
Location: [Garderie les Petits Joyeux Apprentis], [Dorval, Québec]
Position Type: On-Call & Summer Vacation Coverage
We are currently seeking a qualified and flexible Early Childhood Educator to join our team as an on-call replacement, with scheduled hours during the summer to cover staff vacations as well as on-call hours as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
-Support daily routines, educational summer programming, and activities across all age groups in the daycare.
-Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children.
-Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain open, respectful communication with staff and families.
-Adapt quickly to various roles and age groups, supporting consistency in care and education.
-Follow all safety, hygiene, and childcare regulations in accordance with Québec standards.
Requirements:
Recognized Early Childhood Education (ECE) qualification in Québec.
Valid criminal background check (vulnerable sector) from Québec – mandatory.
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certificate for daycare settings in Québec.
Demonstrated strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work with all age groups and adapt to changing schedules.
Assets:
-Bilingual (French/English)
-Familiarity with “Accueillir la petite enfance,” Québec’s educational program
