We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator to join our team!
Shift: 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday
Start Date: August 2026 (flexible)
Pay rate depends on ECE Classification Level & years of experience in the field
Grace Note is a reputable child care center located in Halifax. We offer quality care and early learning experiences to children 4 months-5 years of age, following a play-based, emergent curriculum. We have 5 classrooms:
- Infant (4-18 months)
- Junior Toddler (18-24 months)
- Senior Toddler (2-3 years)
- Junior Preschool (3-4 years)
- Senior Preschool (4-5 years)
Our team consists of 11 educators, a support staff, an inclusion coordinator, a cook, and a director

Candidates must have:
- Nova Scotia ECE Classification
- First Aid & CPR Level C Certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check
- Clear Child Abuse Registry Check
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing children with quality care
- Implementing positive behaviour guidance
- Planning and implementing activities to foster learning & development
- Following a play-based, emergent curriculum
- General cleaning & sanitizing (sweeping, mopping, laundry, wiping tables/counters/shelves)
- Communicating with parent, families, and staff
- Working as part of a team
- Maintaining an organized classroom
