We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Aluminum Windows and Doors Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1–2 years of hands-on experience in metal fabrication or window/Curtain Wall assembly. You should be detail-oriented, highly proficient with power and hand tools, and a practical problem-solver who takes pride in building durable, high-quality architectural products.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, notch, drill, rout, and assemble aluminum extrusions, frames, sashes, hardware, and glass components according to shop drawings and technical spec sheets.
- Tool & Equipment Operation: Safely operate workshop machinery including miter saws, punch presses, drill presses, routers, and pneumatic assembly tools.
- Quality Assurance: Measure and check all parts carefully to maintain precise tolerances and squareness; inspect finished products for defects or scratch-free finishes before shipping.
- Problem Solving: Identify manufacturing issues, material flaws, or fitting problems early and find practical, efficient solutions to keep production moving smoothly.
- Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine maintenance on shop tools and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace following workshop safety standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in aluminum fabrication, window/door manufacturing, or a closely related metalworking/glazing environment.
- Technical Skills: Excellent mechanical aptitude and hands-on tool skills (proficient with tape measures, power tools, pneumatic tools, and hand tools).
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately read, interpret, and follow shop drawings, cut lists, and assembly guidelines.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong spatial awareness and practical reasoning to troubleshoot fitment issues or design discrepancies on the spot.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand, bend, lift heavy materials (up to 50+ lbs), and work in a fast-paced shop environment throughout the day.
- Attention to Detail: High standard for craftsmanship and precision measurements (working in millimeters or fractions of an inch).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
