Duties
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and plating dishes to meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Support cooking processes by following recipes and instructions from chefs or kitchen managers
- Handle food safety procedures diligently, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards and proper food handling practices
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for order processing and cash handling when required
- Assist with serving food and beverages to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- Contribute to overall guest service by supporting restaurant staff with meal delivery and customer needs
Skills
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
- Experience with kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Hospitality background, including hotel or restaurant experience, is a plus
- Barista experience or guest services skills are advantageous for supporting diverse customer needs
