Fuwa Fuwa Café is looking for friendly, reliable, and hardworking Café All-Rounders to join our team. This is a hands-on role supporting both front-of-house and kitchen operations in a busy Japanese-style café environment.
You will help create a welcoming experience for customers while keeping the café clean, organized, and running smoothly throughout the day.
What You’ll Do
Customer Service
- Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service
- Take orders accurately and help customers with menu questions
- Handle payments and support front counter operations
- Ensure customers receive their orders in a timely and professional manner
- Help maintain a positive and welcoming café atmosphere
Food & Drink Preparation
- Prepare simple food, drinks, desserts, and café items according to recipes and standards
- Follow portioning, presentation, and quality standards
- Assist with ingredient preparation, stocking, labelling, and restocking
- Support kitchen and front counter during busy service periods
- Learn and follow café recipes, procedures, and daily workflows
Cleaning & Daily Operations
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, front counter, dining area, washroom, and workstations
- Wash dishes, utensils, equipment, and containers as needed
- Follow food safety, sanitation, temperature, labelling, and storage procedures
- Help with opening, closing, cleaning, and shift preparation tasks
- Keep ingredients, supplies, and work areas organized throughout the shift
- Support the team with other daily operational tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Food service, café, restaurant, or kitchen experience is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate
- Friendly, positive, and comfortable interacting with customers
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed
- Self-motivated and proactive; able to notice what needs to be done without always being asked
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable with cleaning, dishwashing, food prep, and customer service duties
- Able to follow recipes, instructions, food safety procedures, and café standards carefully
- Weekend availability is required; weekday availability is an asset
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand and move around for extended periods
- Able to lift and carry up to approximately 25 lbs
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen and café environment
