Camp Cadicasu is an inclusive outdoor education center in Kananaskis Country, Alberta for children ages 7 – 16 years. Since 1930, we have been a haven for people to experience the joys of summer and make new friends. Our mission is to increase confidence, inspire purpose-driven lives, and build resilience through transformative wilderness experiences. You will become a part of our camp family. We provide in-depth training and focus on personal growth to achieve success.
Please note: The role requires you to live on site Sunday-Friday from June 21 - August 30. All accommodations are provided. You must be able to provide your own transportation to and from camp each week if you choose to leave site over the weekends.
Job Description
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Solo lead approximately 5 hours of archery sessions daily, incorporating games/engaging elements for campers ages 7-16.
- Assist campers in proper technique, confidence, and resilience.
- Ensure a safe and fun environment during sessions.
- Monitor and repair equipment.
- Be available to help other areas of camp in any capacity (ie. cleaning, doing dishes, helping campers, etc.) when not busy with supervision.
- Maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm regardless of the weather / situation.
- Join in the camp community, attend camp-wide events & activities, and uplift coworkers.
- Model acceptable behaviour through a professional demeanour.
Required Qualifications
- Positive Attitude
- The ability to work independently while being a team player.
- Criminal Reference Check (Vulnerable Sector Search)
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C (or willingness to acquire it before June 15, 2026)
- Prior archery experience/certification is preferred, but not required. We will certify you before the summer.
Assets
- Experience with or interest in archery.
- Previous work with children and positive references.
- Wilderness, primitive, outdoor, survival, or earth skills knowledge or interest.
- Residential camp experience or community living.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Pay: From $12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
