Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in Construction Industry
- Construction knowledge - overall understanding of construction process, sequencing, etc.
- Trade Qualification, apprenticeship or Carpentry ticket an asset.
- Must have valid drivers license, independent transportation and ability to travel to different sites
- Physically capable for a hands-on work environment
Responsibilities:
- Operate all tools and machines of the carpentry trade in a safe and responsible manner
- Ensure tasks are completed within specified time and quality, and notify supervisor if difficulties arise
- Complete work documentation as required
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Lead small projects on site
Job Duties:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Understanding customer requirements
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations including BC Step Code
- Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health and Safety)
- Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry
