Job Overview
AMR Property Management is seeking a skilled and reliable General Handyman with strong computer proficiency to join our team.
In this role, you will be actively involved in the maintenance, upkeep, and maintenance‑related administration of our properties throughout Simcoe County. We are excited to meet candidates who take pride in their work and are ready to contribute to a supportive, professional team environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting
- Complete routine maintenance and preventative inspections across all properties
- Respond promptly to tenant service requests and resolve issues efficiently
- Prepare units for move‑ins: repairs, touch‑ups, cleaning, and safety checks
- Maintain building systems such as lighting, door hardware, smoke/CO detectors, and fixtures
- Conduct regular property walkthroughs to identify hazards or needed repairs
- Perform exterior maintenance such as debris cleanup
- Install or repair locks, door closers, appliances, shelving, and minor fixtures
- Assist licensed trades during larger repair or renovation projects
- Document all work orders, materials used, and completed tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and report any risks or damages
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies
Requirements or skill sets:
- Must be computer savvy.
- Past handman or building maintenance experience is preferred
- Past experience working with Property Management Companies will be an asset
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office suite, Outlook and G-suite
- Reliability is essential. The ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships is valued.
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize functions.
- Passion for creative problem-solving and ideation of innovative solutions.
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license.
