Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant/Cashier to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems like Micros POS
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards and safety guidelines
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, upselling menu items, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and order accuracy
- Assist with food presentation and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Restock supplies as needed and support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and upselling opportunities
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not mandatory
