We're searching for a Lead Hand to help organize, manage and host our events in Kelowna! This role is perfect for someone with a passion for events who is looking for a part-time role! Position Summary
The Lead Hand provides operational and administrative support to ensure events run smoothly and company processes are completed accurately and on time. This role acts as a key support position between management and hosts, helping coordinate schedules, payroll, supplies, and event quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties
- Schedule hosts and maintain the company event calendar.
- Assist with payroll processing and time entry verification.
- Perform data entry related to invoices and financial records.
- Monitor and update scheduling changes as required.
- Assist management with administrative projects and reporting.
Event Operations
- Print, organize, and deliver event supplies to hosts and venues.
- Host Trivia and Music Bingo nights when other hosts are not available.
- Conduct tech checks to ensure hosts and venues have the required equipment and materials.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate concerns to management when necessary.
- Support venue launches and special events as required.
Training & Support
- Coordinate training schedules for new hosts.
- Assist with onboarding activities and training logistics.
- Communicate hiring needs to human resources
- Provide guidance and support to hosts regarding company procedures and expectations.
- Communicate updates, reminders, and operational changes to hosts.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure event materials are accurate and prepared before shows.
- Monitor host performance and report concerns to management.
- Help maintain consistency in event delivery and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Comfortable using Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and scheduling software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Reliable transportation for supply delivery and venue visits.
- Access to a laptop that can run the Microsoft Office suite
- Previous leadership, administrative, or event coordination experience is considered an asset.
Pay: $27.50 per hour
