Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Roofing Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist with various roofing projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on-site. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in roofing and construction while contributing to the successful completion of residential and commercial roofing projects. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, handling physical tasks, and collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, and saws to cut, shape, and secure roofing materials
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and metal panels safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate installation
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofing structures
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing or structural adjustments as needed
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Maintain a clean work area and properly dispose of debris after each project phase
Experience
- Prior experience with hand tools, construction, or carpentry is highly desirable
- Handyman experience or familiarity with blueprint reading will be considered an asset
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Knowledge of caulking techniques and waterproofing methods preferred
- Previous work in roofing or related construction fields is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Pay: $20.00-$45.00 per hour
