Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Red Seal Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will focus primarily on residential and commercial solar installations, while also performing general electrical work in residential properties. This role is ideal for someone who values quality workmanship, safety, and the opportunity to work in both traditional and renewable energy settings.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential and commercial solar systems.
- Perform general electrical work such as service upgrades, wiring, panel replacements, and lighting installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and technical documents.
- Ensure all work complies with the Canadian Electrical Code and safety standards.
- Lead or mentor apprentices as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Experience
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician Certification (required).
- Experience in solar installation would be an asset.
- Strong background in residential electrical systems.
- Solid understanding of current electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Comfortable working at heights and outdoors.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
