Oversee all daily branch operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and alignment with organizational objectives.
Lead operational planning and execution while maintaining high performance standards across all branch functions.
Monitor key performance indicators and implement process improvements to optimize branch performance.
Maintain a hands-on presence within the yard, including learning and operating small machinery and equipment as required to support branch operations.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance coaching to a dedicated branch team.
Foster a collaborative, accountable workplace culture focused on safety, engagement, and operational excellence.
Support employee development through ongoing feedback, training, and performance management initiatives.
Ensure full compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and applicable legal requirements.
Champion a safety-first culture by reinforcing best practices and maintaining strict safety standards.
Conduct regular reviews of branch procedures to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Act as the primary point of leadership for branch-level operational and service-related matters.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure service excellence and long-term customer satisfaction.
Support business development efforts through proactive outreach and relationship-building with suppliers and local contacts to generate inbound material opportunities.
Support branch financial performance through effective resource allocation and operational oversight.
Monitor branch budgeting, cash flow activity, and day-to-day financial controls to ensure operational accountability.
Analyze operational and financial metrics to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability.
Drive branch results through strategic decision-making and hands-on leadership.
Post-secondary education in Business, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
Several years of leadership or branch management experience within industrial, manufacturing, recycling, or heavy-equipment environments.
Proven experience managing operational teams and driving measurable performance outcomes.
Hands-on experience working in operational environments with exposure to equipment or machinery operation is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of branch operations, production processes, and performance management practices.
Experience working within industrial operational environments is highly preferred.
Willingness to be trained on and operate small yard machinery and equipment as needed.
Experience with budgeting, cash handling, branch financial oversight, or basic financial analysis is considered a strong asset.
Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license or heavy equipment operating experience is considered an asset.
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced operational settings.
High level of accountability with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across teams and stakeholders.
Comfortable with relationship-based outreach and soft sales activities to support branch growth and supplier development.
Business acumen with the ability to interpret financial and operational performance data effectively.
