We are a well-established, profitable golf course and hospitality business that has been operating successfully for over 20 years. Our operation includes golf, food & beverage, and events. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting and support ownership with accurate, timely financial reporting.
Position Summary
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing payables and receivables, payroll support, reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in clean books, and understands the rhythm of a seasonal business.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate general ledger records
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations
- Payroll processing and remittances (WSIB, HST, source deductions)
- Prepare and file HST returns
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing
- Work with external accountant on year-end and tax filings
- Track capital expenditures and fixed assets
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Provide basic financial reports to ownership as required
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience (small business preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software (Saje 50 preferred)
- Payroll and HST experience required
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Experience in hospitality, golf, or seasonal businesses is an asset

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
