Overview
We are looking for a freelance Social Media Content Creator to help capture high-quality video footage for our clients’ social media platforms.
This role is ideal for someone creative, reliable, and experienced in filming engaging short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and social media marketing.
Role Overview
You will visit client locations once per month to capture professional social media footage using your own equipment.
This position focuses on filming only — no editing required.
Most projects involve restaurants, hospitality, and local businesses, so experience creating dynamic food, atmosphere, and lifestyle content is a strong asset.
Duties
- Visit client locations in Calgary and surrounding areas
- Capture high-quality vertical video content for social media
- Film cinematic shots, ambiance, products, food, staff interactions, and customer experiences
- Follow a provided content plan or shot list
- Deliver raw footage organized and ready for editing
Requirements
- Experience filming content for social media
- Own professional camera/video equipment
- Ability to capture stable, well-lit, high-quality footage
- Creative eye for storytelling and social media trends
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and professionalism with clients
Preferred
- Experience filming restaurants, cafés, hospitality, or lifestyle brands
- Understanding of Instagram Reels and TikTok style content
- Drone footage experience is a plus (not required)
Contract Details
- Freelance / Contractor Position
- Approx. 3 hours per client session
- Pay: $300 CAD + GST per session
- Flexible schedule
- Potential for recurring monthly work
