Position Overview:
As a Metal Fabricator, you will play a vital role in all stages of the production process using state-of-the-art equipment and fabrication techniques. This role includes advanced layout, forming, and structural fabrication within a dynamic and safety-focused shipyard environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Red Seal Metal Fabricator, Boilermaker, or 5+ years of fabrication experience
- CWB all-position FCAW Tacking Ticket (preferred)
- ITA Marine Fitter Endorsement (ideal)
- Strong safety and environmental awareness
- Excellent verbal and written English communication
- Ability to work positively in a team
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Experience fabricating metal structural parts (plates, bulkheads, frames)
- Skilled in using jacks, turnbuckles, and fairing tools
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in varied weather
- Willing and able to work all shifts
- Advanced proficiency in grand block consolidation and understanding ship datum points
Compensation & Benefits:
- $59.29/hour – Red Seal Journeyperson Rate
- $50.40/hour – Experienced (5+ years) Non-Certified Fabricators
- Double time for all overtime hours

- Unionized position with Marine and Shipbuilders CMAW Local 506
