Overview
We are seeking a creative and energetic Ice Cream Artist to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, creating visually appealing ice cream treats, and providing exceptional service in a fun and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food presentation, excellent customer service skills, and experience in the food industry. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream treats, including sundaes, cones, and specialty desserts
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling products to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation and serving areas
- Manage cash register transactions accurately and efficiently
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices, adhering to sanitation guidelines
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Restock supplies and maintain organized workstations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS and cashiering procedures
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously
- Enthusiasm for creating visually appealing desserts and engaging with customers
