Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Non Ferrous Scale Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately weighing and processing non-ferrous metals, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and inventory management. This role requires familiarity with all types of metals including Aluminum, Brass & Copper. Knowledge of warehouse operations, equipment handling, and inventory systems to support seamless warehouse distribution and shipping & receiving processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to load and unload materials.
- Training of warehouse management systems for grading material will be provided but knowledge of existing software to track inventory, process orders, and update records is an asset.
- Weigh non-ferrous metals using scales, ensuring precise measurements for order fulfillment.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and packaging of materials for shipment.
- Manage shipping & receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and stock levels within warehouse distribution systems.
- Support order fulfillment processes by preparing materials for dispatch in a timely manner.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations, including proper load handling and equipment use.
- Assist in warehouse organization to optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or warehouse distribution is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and reach trucks is highly desirable; valid certification is a plus.
- Basic math skills for weight calculation, order picking, and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately record data and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Warehouse experience including order fulfillment, load & unload procedures, and packaging is preferred.
- Ability to work safely around industrial equipment and follow safety guidelines at all times.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
