Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Home Construction / HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to interpret drawings and physical locations to ensure proper installation and functionality of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The HVAC Installer will work on various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
Duties
- Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems according to specifications and industry standards.
- With proper training eventually perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration systems.
- With Training troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems into building designs.
- Conduct field service visits to evaluate system performance and address customer concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and equipment repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on job sites to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Experience
- Proven experience in HVAC installation or as a service technician is preferred.
- Sheet Metal and Duct Work experience an asset
- Familiarity with plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning, mechanical systems, and home repair is highly desirable.
- Experience in construction or property maintenance is a plus.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is an advantage.
- Proficiency in welding techniques related to HVAC installations is beneficial.
