Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welding / Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and maintaining our equipment to reduce equipment downtime.
Duties
- Afternoon shift from 3PM- 11:30 PM (Monday to Friday) with a possibility of an evening shift TBA.
-Perform routine welding & maintenance on large production equipment such as conveys, drive systems, hydraulics, electric motors, pneumatics, VFD basic operation, minor and major repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Expertise in welding, fabrication and reading mechanical drawings
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work orders
- Critical thinking to evaluate the condition of machines and their components
Skills
- Welding experience is required
- Work harmoniously with other team members
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn in a continuous improvement environment
- Proficiency in English for effective communication
- Experience in equipment maintenance is preferred
- Valid Drivers License
- Heavy Equipment Operator (Forklift, Loader, Skid Steer, etc.) We will train the right candidate
- Any previous safety training would be an asset
