Responsibilities include:
- Ensure project team adherence to Stuart Olsons Quality Management System
- Perform multi-discipline field inspections and verify product quality
- Review technical documentation (e.g., drawings, specifications) to support field execution
- Conduct inspections of welding activities, verifying compliance with approved welding procedures
- Prepare Nondestructive Examination (NDE) requests and review NDE Reports.
- Assist in the development and execution of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), including identifying hold/witness points and securing client approvals
Qualifications
- CWB Level 2 welding inspector certification (required)
- 3-5 years experience in the maintenance or construction industry
- Journeyman trade designation an asset
- Welding Engineering Technology (WET) or Materials Engineering Technology (MET) an asset
- Experience working with regulatory authorities (TSBC, ABSA, TSASK, ITSM)
- Excellent computer skills with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products and Bluebeam Revu
- Pre-access Drug and Alcohol test
Required Safety Tickets
- Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive
- CSTS 2020, CSTS 09 or PST
- Energy Safety Canada Confined Space
- Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
- Able to work under SBA mask preferred
- Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including at heights, in confined spaces, and around noise and dust
- Physically capable of standing, walking, climbing ladders and scaffolding, and lifting up to 50 lbs. (or more with assistance)
- Must be clean shaven and able to wear required PPE, including steel-toed safety boots and respiratory protection as required by site policies.
