Essential Job Functions
As a Business Sales Manager, you will play a vital role in identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities. This includes outside sales activities such as prospecting, cold calls, telemarketing, territory planning, and relationship-building with clients of all sizes and industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a targeted sales plan to achieve and exceed sales objectives for medium to large-sized accounts.
- Consultative Sales: Use a consultative, solutions-based approach to identify client needs and deliver effective staffing solutions.
- Pipeline Management: Make weekly marketing calls and secure appointments to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Client Engagement: Prepare tailored presentations, make formal sales pitches, and manage follow-ups to close new business accounts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Regional Managers and internal service teams to ensure seamless alignment between sales commitments and service capabilities.
- Pricing & Bidding: Establish competitive quotes and bids that align with company financial goals.
- CRM Management: Utilize CRM tools to organize weekly sales activities, manage contacts, track opportunities, and ensure accountability.
- Competitive Awareness: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of IS2's services and keep up with market competition.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A 4-year degree or equivalent business experience.
- 2-4 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within the staffing industry in a business development role.
- Familiarity with consultative, solutions-based selling techniques.
- Strong presentation and persuasive skills, with the confidence to work in a quota-driven environment.
- A high sense of urgency, an energetic and positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
- Proven self-management skills with the ability to set and achieve ambitious sales goals.
