Reporting to the Front Office leadership team, this role requires not only operational excellence but also emotional intelligence, ensuring every guest interaction is warm, confident, and personalized. At JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka, our Bell & Valet Attendants are more than just drivers and luggage handlers; they are the welcoming face of our resort. From greeting guests with genuine warmth to ensuring their belongings and vehicles are handled with care, you’ll play a key role in creating seamless arrivals and departures.
Accountabilities
- Welcome and escort guests to rooms, opening doors and assisting with entry and departure.
- Provide clear directions and information about property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local attractions.
- Explain the room features naturally and confidently (e.g., key use, mini-bar, in-room safe, valet laundry).
- Transport luggage to and from guest rooms or designated bell areas and assist with storage and retrieval.
- Offer valet service: park vehicles safely, assist guests in and out of cars, and arrange transportation (taxi, shuttle, limousine).
- Communicate with parking procedures clearly and professionally.
- Maintain awareness of guest safety and security, reporting concerns promptly.
- Anticipate guest needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Speak with clarity and professionalism, answering phones with proper etiquette.
- Support safety and environmental programs, ensuring a clean and secure working environment.
- Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues to deliver organized, professional service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid G Ontario Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Ability to drive both standard and automatic vehicles.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and manage time effectively.
- Professional demeanor, emotional intelligence, and a passion for guest service.
Working Conditions
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Comfortable standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or entire shifts.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach overhead, and move across sloping or uneven surfaces.
