Job Title: Yard Coordinator
We are currently seeking a Yard Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the yard, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and equipment. This is a physically demanding position that requires heavy lifting and some mechanical aptitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the movement of materials and equipment within the yard
- Use the warehouse management system to track inventory and locate items
- Perform picking and packing of orders as needed
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or cranes
- Assemble and organize pallets or containers for shipment
- Conduct routine equipment inspections to ensure proper operation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse/yard role preferred
- Solid knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and/or cranes
- Physically fit and capable of regularly lifting heavy materials
- Basic mechanical knowledge is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
