We are a boutique full service Toronto Design, Build & Maintain Landscape company who have been creating landscapes of all sizes for 29years.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Foreman to lead our landscaping team in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for landscape design, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires hands-on involvement in various landscaping tasks, including supervising crew members and building landscape projects.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the landscaping crew to ensure productivity and quality of work.
- Assign tasks to crew members & ensure they understand their responsibilites.
- Able to run a 2-3 person team
- Lead the construction of garden features including beds, pathways, and other landscape elements.
- Train team members on best practices in landscaping techniques and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Be organized & communicate effectively with Project Lead
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Natural stone / Concrete Paver installation (prep, grading, install)
- Ability to build garden features using various materials and power tools.
- Experience using skid steers, excavators and other landscape machinery
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- A strong attention to design/ detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Installation of plants (Trees, shrubs & perennials)
- G - License
- Can work independently, resolve work related problems & implement solutions
- Strong understanding of Horticulture & Landscape principles
- Minimum 50 hrs/week
