About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join a large-scale cement manufacturing operation in Brookfield, NS. This role is ideal for a strong operational leader with experience in heavy industrial environments, unionized workforce management, and production oversight. You will be responsible for leading production supervisors and operational teams across a continuous manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and performance targets are consistently achieved.
This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the Plant Manager and plays a critical part in driving continuous improvement across quarry, production, and control room operations.
What We Offer
Salary: $120,000 – $135,000 base + bonus (0–24%)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Overtime: Based on operational requirements

What You’ll Do
- Lead production supervisors and oversee daily cement manufacturing operations
- Manage unionized production teams across continental shifts
- Ensure safety, production targets, and quality standards are consistently met
- Oversee quarry, kiln, pyro-processing, and plant operations coordination
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency
- Support KPI management, reporting, and performance tracking using SAP and other systems
- Coach and develop supervisors and operational teams
- Collaborate with maintenance, quarry, control room, and technical teams
- Manage a 40% office / 60% floor leadership balance
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
- Participate in on-call or shift coverage as required
Experience Required:
- 3–5 years of leadership experience in heavy industrial manufacturing
- 3–5 years of production management experience
- Strong background in unionized environments
- Experience in cement manufacturing, mining, quarry, or heavy industrial processing (preferred)
- Bachelor of Engineering or related technical field preferred
