We're looking for a high-energy, outgoing Boot Shiner who loves engaging crowds, drives sales, and builds lasting customer connections, eager to learn premium shoe care and deliver exceptional service. This is a position for someone hungry to make as much money as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales: meet sales-per-hour targets to earn commission; proactively upsell shoe care products and services.
- Engage customers: attract foot traffic, offer boot shines, and convert interest into purchases.
- Deliver expert services: clean, condition, polish, and restore shoes and leather items efficiently and to high standards.
- Recommend products: provide personalized product and care-technique advice to boost sales and retention.
- Build relationships: hand out business cards, foster customer loyalty, and follow up on orders/updates.
- Maintain operations: keep a professional, organized workspace, manage inventory/stocking, and use proper tools and techniques.
- Represent Brillaré: promote brand values with friendly, knowledgeable service.
Qualifications:
- No experience required, training provided before the Calgary Stampede.
- High-energy, outgoing personality; thrives engaging crowds and driving sales.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent customer service and clear communication skills.
- Eager to learn and follow best practices in shoe and leather care.
- Organized, proactive, and reliable.
- Passion for craftsmanship, shoes, or leather is a plus.
- Proficient in English.

We need someone for working from the 2nd to the 12th of July.
Peak days of Stampede: Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th, Sunday 5th, Thursday 9th, Friday 10th, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th.
Work Location: In person Stampede market indoor
