Applicants will be responsible for, but not limited to:
-equipment and body installation on Class 1-8 vehicles
-equipment and bodies such as, but not limited to: dump, snow plows, flat decks, hook
lifts, hydro vac units, service bodies
-electrical systems (lighting, spreader controls, power tailgates, etc.)
-plumb hydraulic and pneumatic systems
-design/layout of major and minor components, working off of in-house drawings for
both CHE projects and supporting walk-in customers
-drilling holes to mount equipment (using both mag and hand drills)
Applicants must have/be:
-high level of attention to detail (a must!)
-own hand tools
-electrical, pneumatics and hydraulic experience (an asset)
-ability to operate fork lift and chain hoists
-valid driver's licence
-customer service skills
-ability to work independently or as part of a team
-responsible and self-motivated
-ability to work in tight spaces (inside truck cab)
-physical ability required for heavy lifting and labour (items of 50lbs+ at times)
-organizational skills - completing paperwork in a timely, thorough and legible manner
-computer skills
-ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines while under the supervision of the shop foreman
