Overview
We are seeking a motivated Jr Product Development Food / Nutraceuticals to join our team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of nutraceutical products, supporting the customer . The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong analytical skills, and an interest in research and product innovation. This position provides valuable hands-on experience in product development within a dynamic environment dedicated to health and wellness.
Duties
- Support the development of new products from concept to commercialization
- Help facilitate the New Product Introduction (NPI) process by collecting and managing new raw material documentation and specifications
- Assist staff with document searches and/or research.
- Create and manage Finished Product Specifications
- Champion new product set-up, and any required changes to existing products, in ERP software
- Support procurement with ingredient and supplier evaluations
- Ensure that all documentation, and subsequent revisions, is reviewed and approved by authorized persons
- Maintain documentation and records in a legible, dated, identifiable and orderly fashion.
- Ensure that current editions of documentation are available where needed.
- Review NPI process for continuous improvement to meet regulatory, functional, and business needs.
- Regulatory review of labels to ensure compliance
- Prepare benchtop R&D samples as needed
- Review and update the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions to ensure their accuracy reflects the day-to-day business process.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
- A high school diploma is required, post-secondary education or experience in Food/Nutrition or similar field is preferred.
- Excellent admin and IT skills, proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of Regulation/GMP around nutritional industry.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and work to resolve with stakeholders across functions.
- Deadline focused with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on own initiative, motivated, self-starter and Team player.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data.
- Display excellent collaborative skills.
- Desire to acquire further knowledge and to understand the business.
- Excellent Communication Skills both verbally and written.
- Previous experience or coursework in the food industry or related laboratory work is preferred
- Strong research skills with the ability to gather relevant information efficiently
- Data analysis skills to interpret experimental results accurately
- Experience with data collection methods and laboratory procedures is a plus
- Excellent analysis skills to evaluate product performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Knowledge of product development processes within the food or nutraceutical sectors is desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with attention to detail and organizational skills
- A proactive attitude with a passion for innovation in health-focused food products
Pay: $40,000.00-$59,449.01 per year
