Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lawn Maintenance Lead Hand to oversee and coordinate landscape maintenance projects. This leadership role requires a strong background in horticulture, gardening, and landscape upkeep, along with supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring high-quality service delivery. This position offers an opportunity to lead dynamic landscaping projects, contribute to the beautification of outdoor spaces, and mentor team members in best practices.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations of lawn and landscape maintenance crew to ensure timely and quality completion of projects
- Oversee and perform tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, planting, and general garden care
- Coordinate with clients to understand their landscape needs and provide tailored maintenance solutions
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all landscaping activities
- Assist with equipment maintenance and operation, including construction tools when necessary
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on horticultural techniques, safety procedures, and customer service
- Monitor project progress and report on completion status to management
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields
- Supervising experience with a demonstrated ability to lead teams effectivly
- Strong understanding of landscape construction and general horticultural practices
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Experience in construction or related manual labor is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment or materials as needed
- Valid driver’s license a must for equipment transportation purposes
Pay: $19.50-$24.00 per hour
