Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and be skilled in food and beverage preparation. Prior Barista experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The position involves working in a fast-paced setting, managing multiple tasks with excellent time management skills, and maintaining high standards of food safety and food handling.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks following established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Provide friendly, prompt, and professional customer service to ensure guest satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations
- Assist in food preparation and food service tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in compliance with health regulations
- Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Uphold all safety standards related to food handling and sanitation
Qualifications
- Previous Barista experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to perform food preparation, handle cash accurately, and perform basic math calculations
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
