Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Drywall Boarder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drywall installation and finishing, with a keen eye for detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
- Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
- Install corner beads to protect corners.
- Ensure all work meets building codes and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Drywall Boarder or similar role.
- Knowledge of construction techniques and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools related to drywall installation and finishing.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant certification or apprenticeship in drywall installation (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in drywall tapering and/or boarding.
