Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver and General Labourer to join our team. This role involves transporting goods, assisting with warehouse operations, and supporting various logistical tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with warehouse or commercial driving, and the physical ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, customer service, and teamwork are valued. This is part time to start and can be full time later on.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to various locations
- Load and unload items using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Assist with moving heavy or bulky items within the warehouse or job sites
- Ensure accurate delivery and proper handling of products, maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or storage areas
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules or any issues that arise
- Support warehouse operations including inventory management, stocking, and general labour tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus but not required; training may be provided
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for coordinating deliveries and interacting with customers
- Physical stamina to handle moving, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival at work sites
