Nu-Tech Precision Metals Inc. specializes in manufacturing high-quality metal extrusions for various industries, including aerospace, nuclear, and naval sectors. Operating from Arnprior, ON, Nu-Tech is proud to be a key supplier to the Nuclear and Aerospace industries. As the company grows, we are seeking candididates to join us as Machinists.
Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role based in Arnprior, ON, for Machinists. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, set up and operation of CNC/conventional lathes and milling machines, planning "order of operations", and using gauges to measure parts at specific stages.
Qualifications
The successful candidate(s) will either have a General Machinist certificate, be enroleed as an apprentice or be willing to undertake an apprenticeship. Equivalent practical and working experience will be considered. Other requirements include:
- Good communication skills with strong attention to detail
- CMM and programming experience is an asset but not required
- Experience working in Nuclear or Aerospace is an asset including exposure to AS9001D or Nuclear quality programs
- Ability to read blueprints and expericen with GD&T
- Technical skills in operating and maintaining machinery, including basic knowledge of manual and CNC machines.
- General mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools, precision measurement, and machining processes.
- Commitment to following workplace safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment.
Note that this position will require afternoon shifts based on business need.
Pay will be dependent on the candidates qualification and experience.
