Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive and driven Server to join our dynamic, growing restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food industry standards are preferred but not required. The Server will play a key role in delivering memorable dining experiences through excellent customer service and efficient service skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle transactions accurately
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly, addressing any concerns or special requests
- Other tasks as assigned
Skills
- Familiar with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols in the restaurant industry
- Experience in food service or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Ability to perform basic math for billing, change calculation, and order accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Kitchen experience or food preparation knowledge is a plus but not required
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance the dining experience
