- Sweep, wipe, wash, vacuum, wax, and polish floors and furniture
- Clean and disinfect washrooms, bathrooms, and related accessories
- Empty garbage cans and other waste containers
- Replenish toilet supplies and clean windows, light fixtures, diffusers, and walls
- Remove snow and ice from daycare entrances
- Maintain the daycare playground and surrounding outdoor areas
- Mow the lawn and perform basic groundskeeping
- Carry out minor repairs as needed
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies when necessary
- Regularly inspect playground equipment and fire safety equipment to ensure safety
- Assist with daily transition routines
- Provide support in classrooms as required
- Assist classroom teachers with feeding, toileting, and providing attentive care to children throughout the day.
